I appreciate everything

Hello everyone!


First and foremost, I would like to wish all of you a


HAPPY NEW YEAR!!


Though I'm not happy about 2012 at all. 2011 was fantastic and I just cannot see how good things can be in 2012. 


At the start of 2011, I was still in poly busy chionging projects and having fun with the beloved big clique, and then came February when Yewhong and I celebrated our first year anniversary together and it was also an amazing period of time where we spent nearly everyday together.

And there was Kiewu's birthday!! :D First of the 91s to turn 20! :D

My parents started accepting Yewhong and he grew closer to us. Our relationship became stable and we understood each other better. We had our exams in March and that sums up my entire 3 years and 2 months (DPA) in Ngee Ann Polytechnic.

I bumped around for a bit after the exams and before our clique's graduation trip to Taiwan. It was like one of the best 7 days I've spent overseas. Wuxi-Shanghai trip was fun too, but it's just sorta different. Of course there were some minor hiccups here and there, with the itinerary and the activities but I still had fun :D One of the things I enjoyed the most was the guys coming to our room and watching Underworld. LOL! I clearly remember the guys all being very engrossed in the show and I was just asking questions and they kept giving me half-hearted replies. Haha! And who could have forgotten Kiewu's classic CALIFORNIA GIRLS video (Ps. it's in facebook)?!?!

We made up for Kaina's birthday which wasn't done well enough on the actual celebration.

Yewhong probably hates this photo cos the dress was too short for his liking and he thought I was wearing safety shorts but I wasn't. Well the focus isn't on the dress but the boots! I love wearing boots cos they're so chio! But Singapore's really just a tat too hot for comfortable boots wear :/ Anyway this is how I would like myself to look like with boots :D I took other pictures in Taiwan with my boots but I was wearing leggings and they were rather loose so they didn't really look good :/

Our first time going overseas together as a couple though it wasn't a couple trip :D

After the trip I guess things started going downhill, at least for me I guess. I lived in dustbox of a house full of construction workers for about 2 to 3 months, during which I had a temporary job at Aviva Ltd. It was technically my first office job besides internship but I guess this was a lot harder..at first. It made me realise and really appreciate my life at MAS. I met nice and fun people, whom I no longer keep in contact with, there and I would say, I did grow up a little. In May, I went to Marina Barrage to celebrate dear Esther and Cunfang's birthday! I guess this was technically the last real gathering we had as a clique :')

I totally don't remember why we did this but I guess we do this alot. HAHA!! :D

Of course there was my most beloved Tan Jia Sui's birthday, but all the photos were erased :'( *stabs myself*

Not to mention, I graduated!! It was Goodbye Ngee Ann Poly for real! :'( 

Nearing the end of my stay there, my colleagues kept encouraging me to stay but I refused to because I wanted some time for myself. In June, I went to Hongkong for a short getaway with my mum and my sister while Yewhong went back to Shanghai.

Not long after I got back, it was time for Bridging Course at UOL in July. This was when reality started to sink in. I wasn't seeing most of my friends much, I had to sit in an LT full of strangers for 6 out of 7 days in a week for a course of 4-5 weeks and I never made any friends, and I had to sit for an examination which would determine if I qualify for an advance standing in the university. How dreadful. Well it wasn't so bad still. I received sweet and delightful smses from Yewhong several times a day and received morning and night calls, and I had Kaina to accompany my during lectures and Cuijie who would work out with me sometimes before school. 

And Esther had to leave for Melbourne :'( Super sad

Then came August, which is like Herlina and Yewhong's 21st! He (WE) organised a chalet during which we both really enjoyed ourselves and even went to USS! :D And in August, we found out my sister got attached and met her boyfriend. 

I think Yewhong has a habit of always trying to disfigure me whenever we take group shots. Lol!

Oh and Dad turned 50! :O

I also went to work for my parents, which was when I made a life-changing decision. Since then, my outlook of life has changed drastically. Yeah, I know you don't know, but you don't have to know. Actual school started in September and it was a rather difficult time for me because I started to feel like all my friends are gone except Cuijie.

I felt like I've drifted apart from everyone and I decided to be more proactive in hanging out with those friends whom I don't commonly meet up with.

October wasn't particularly interesting except for my cousin's wedding. My birthday "celebrations" were pretty boring except for the dinner with Yewhong but oh well, everyone else has gone their own way. At least it was great the past 2 years :) 

Okay, this photo was shown during the wedding slideshow and I look damn ugly in it. Just to clarify, I wasn't super eager in grabbing the bouquet, I was just afraid it would fall onto the ground cos it was thrown closest to me and apparently no one bothered with the grabbing it until the last minute -.-

The most dreadful month of the year came and it was November. Yewhong had to enlist and it was difficult sending him off and enduring the 3 weeks where he had to stay in Tekong.

Present part 2 from Australia :)

From then on, the balance in my life has sort of tipped again. He could no longer sms me randomly in the day and even if I did randomly sms him, I just felt like I was talking to myself cos I know he wouldn't see the message until at night. I started to feel lonely. After school it was just going driving or home alone with nothing to do, no one to talk to, not that I really wanted to talk to anyone, and just instant noodles for dinner. He was able to book out after the first 3 weeks but it sucked that whenever I picked him up at Pasir Ris, he had to "behave" because he was in his uniform. We couldn't cuddle, or kiss, or even simply hold hands. I have to admit, it was difficult for me. But no matter how tough it is I wouldn't give up because "this is really nothing compared to what we can have in the future" (what Yewhong told me when he left for internship in Shanghai) :) 

And then Huiya got married to her long-time boyfriend whom she met in poly! :D 

I look forward to getting married to my poly boyfriend too! *winks* ;)

And finally in December, Esther came back! :D Yewhong also underwent 6 days of field camp where we couldn't communicate at all. We've both been away in other countries many times but we've never spent more than 24hours not contacting each other, so this proved to be a little bit of a challenge. And we spent our 2nd Christmas together, this time with my sister's boyfriend too! :D

On the whole, 2011 has been good to me. It is year of transition for me and the people around me. Oh, and I didn't club or get anywhere near drunk or high in 2011! Wtf right?! It's like I'm some old fogey who's past drinking and clubbing and such, but I'm not! I'm still a fun-loving young adult (who would love to  go clubbing only if Yewhong would go with me :D)! Oh yeah, I lost my teenaginity :( I'm officially young adult.


I wouldn't say that I dread 2012, it's just that I don't see much to look forward to. Then again, life is full of surprises. Let's just hope for the best! :D
